That has now completely changed. Today, there are many AI-powered applications that let almost anyone produce professional-looking images and interactive graphics in just minutes. Although these tools are still evolving, several options are already available to experiment with right now.
The main goal of these visual AI tools is to handle the technical side of things, so users can focus on the overall vision and describe it in natural language. Among the most common uses are turning raw data into infographics, creating flowcharts and process diagrams without manual effort, and generating complete presentations from rough drafts or messy notes. They are also very useful for making custom charts, data visualizations, and even educational videos. While none of these tools do everything on their own, they are quite practical when it comes to speed and ease of use.

Anthropic’s new tool joins well‑established options such as ChatGPT, which is great for data visualizations and interactive images; Midjourney, known for producing highly detailed and aesthetically striking images; Adobe Firefly, which integrates smoothly with Adobe’s broader creative suite; and Stable Diffusion, which is open source and aimed at more technical users. In the video and animation field, Synthesia stands out as the leading consumer‑facing tool. It generates realistic videos with avatars and voiceovers entirely from a written script, allowing users to choose an AI presenter or create a custom one. This is especially valuable for educational or training content, because updating a single line of text or a statistic does not require reshooting everything—just regenerating the video. That said, AI‑generated avatars can still fall into the so‑called “uncanny valley,” with movements and expressions that sometimes feel strange, which may affect how viewers receive the message. For many use cases, the trade‑off between speed and cost makes it worthwhile, but it is not a perfect substitute for a real person on camera in every situation.
Finally, before committing to AI‑generated images, there are a few practical realities worth keeping in mind. Quality and accuracy are key concerns, since these images can contain errors or misleading visual representations, so users must always verify that charts and graphics correctly reflect the information.
