How Companies Adopt Various Technologies to Modernize the Workplace

Beyond collaboration tools, employees need reliable terminals, fast networks, and modern applications that run on the right platforms.

For some time now, we’ve understood that work is no longer necessarily tied to specific hours or physical locations. Companies have increasingly sought to adapt their technology to the work styles of their teams, rather than the other way around.

It’s fascinating to observe how this is evolving today, in a world with modernized networks, hybrid environments, and artificial intelligence.

When thinking of modern work, your mind might turn to collaboration technology. And having the right platform is indeed a vital component for an effective work experience. However, it is not the only factor. Advanced networks, reliable terminal devices, and modernized applications running on the right cloud platforms are crucial for making your team’s workday enjoyable and productive.

Workplace technology must be reliable.

Take the international law firm Fisher Phillips as an example. Their attorneys, operating from more than 40 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, “need to know that everything will work correctly, that the network will be stable and secure,” CIO Michael Steele tells us. Therefore, the firm left behind its old network, which operated with obsolete multiprotocol label switching circuits, and adopted a new software-defined WAN. “Now we have trusted services in all offices,” he states.

The financial services industry is also doing more to modernize the work experience. Broadridge Financial Solutions uses a combination of Microsoft Teams hardware, Cisco Webex, and Webex Room Kit to ensure a seamless collaboration experience. Jackson National Life Insurance has aggressively moved toward multiple cloud platforms, enabling independent agents to access all the information they need to quote and sell policies to clients online, and digitizing virtually all their operations.

Your employees work hard to make your business successful. They expect technology that supports their efforts and deserve nothing less.
