This week, the first trailer for the movie based on Minecraft was released, and the public reaction has been mostly negative due to the strange choice of a hyperrealistic visual style for the animated characters.

Midweek, Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for the Minecraft movie, a live-action adaptation of the famous Mojang video game, starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black.

Expectations were high, as fans were eager to see how the iconic blocky world of Minecraft would be translated into a live-action film. However, the initial reaction has left many disappointed.

Since its release on YouTube last Wednesday, the trailer, directed by Jared Hess, has garnered over 600,000 likes. However, this number pales in comparison to the more than 1.2 million dislikes it has accumulated so far.

Most of the comments on the video criticize the movie’s visual style, particularly the hyperrealism, which seems to have failed to win over the Minecraft fan community.
