Release Day (Not confimed)
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is scheduled to launch sometime soon (specific release date not yet confirmed). Keep an eye on Bandai Namco’s official channels for the official announcement.
Behind the Scenes: The Tools for the develop
The developers at Spike Chunsoft haven’t revealed the exact specifics of the game engine, but judging from the trailers, it appears they’re utilizing a modern engine with the help of the Graphic card of Play Station capable of rendering stunning visuals and dynamic battlefields. Expect fluid character animation, destructible environments, and explosive special effects that capture the intensity of Dragon Ball battles.
What will the controls be like?
While the full details haven’t been unveiled, trailers hint at controls that should feel like Budokai Tenkaichi. We can expect a combination of light and heavy attacks, throws, ki blasts, and character-specific special moves. The addition of a “short dash” mechanic alongside the traditional dash suggests more dynamic movement options for strategic dodging and combo setups.
Will there be an online mode?
The existence of an online mode for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero remains unconfirmed. However, the Budokai Tenkaichi series was known for its robust online play, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Sparking Zero follow suit. Here’s hoping we can test our skills against other Dragon Ball enthusiasts online.
Story Mode: Relive the Dragon Ball Saga (Maybe)
While official information is scarce, a dedicated story mode chronicling the events of Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z seems less likely. Sparking Zero appears focused on offering a diverse roster of characters and stages for exhilarating versus battles. That said, there might be a simpler arcade mode or challenges to unlock characters and customization options.
