PS5 Pro: A generational leap in performance and graphics

Sony is preparing to launch an enhanced PlayStation 5, dubbed the “PS5 Pro”. It is expected to arrive in late 2024 and promises to be a significant upgrade over the current console.

Leaked internal documents reveal details about the hardware and new technologies of the PS5 Pro:

The PS5 Pro’s CPU and GPU will offer a 45% increase in overall performance.The GPU is up to 4 times faster in ray tracing, a technique that simulates realistic lighting in games. The PS5 Pro will have 300TOPS of machine learning and 67 TFLOPS of floating-point performance, more than 3 times that of the standard PS5.

Sony introduces PSSR, its own super-resolution technology that rivals DLSS and FRS. PSSR improves performance and image quality at higher resolutions. 8K compatibility: The PS5 Pro not only works with 4K, but also targets 8K in the future.
